On December 17th, we launched something brand new, the first-ever LION Cares K–12 Family Pop-Up, held in two locations during our Family-Teacher Conferences. This initiative was designed to meet real needs and celebrate the power of community.
This special initiative was made possible through the generosity of our partners and staff. Brooklyn Book Bodega gifted books to our K–8 students, D’Arrigo New York provided fresh produce, and How Sweet It Is donated shelf-stable food to support families. Wildcat Academy added warmth and cheer with homemade hot chocolate and fresh-baked cookies. Equally inspiring was the generosity of our LION staff, who donated goods and essential items to support families. Their contributions reflected our shared commitment to sustainability, keeping usable items out of landfills and putting them directly into the hands of those who need them most.
The pop-up was more than just an event. It was a powerful reminder of what happens when a community unites with purpose. By sharing resources, reducing waste, and supporting families, we took a meaningful step toward building a stronger, more connected LION community.
