Leaders In Our Neighborhood Charter School, also known as LION Charter School (“LION,” “we,” “us,” “LION CS”), is committed to respecting your privacy. This Website Privacy Policy explains how information collected through lioncharterschool.org (the “Site”) is managed and used.

  • Request information about our school,
  • Submit a donation through affiliated partners,
  • Submit an application related to admissions, and/or
  • Submit an application related to employment.

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites or platforms that may be linked from our Site. Those third parties have their own privacy policies and terms.

Student data privacy and required notices: LION publishes additional notices and documents (including student data privacy materials required under New York Education Law §2-d / Part 121) in the Notices section of our website.

  • Admissions-related information about an applicant/student and family/guardian submitted through an inquiry or application process, and/or

If you choose to donate through affiliated partners, donation information (including payment details) is handled through third-party donation processing pages.

When you visit the Site, we (and service providers supporting website operations) may collect information such as:

The Site is primarily intended for parents/guardians, community members, and prospective staff. COPPA imposes requirements on operators of websites directed to children under 13 (or where the operator has actual knowledge it is collecting personal information online from a child under 13). If LION has actual knowledge that personal information is being collected online from a child under 13 in a manner covered by applicable law, LION will take appropriate steps consistent with those requirements.
