Student Life

Alumni

Beginning with the first graduating class in 2013, LION has been committed to supporting students long after they leave our halls. Today, more than 700 LION alumni are pursuing their desired post‑secondary pathways with ongoing guidance as they navigate college admissions, persist through graduation, and launch meaningful careers.

Nurturing Lifelong Learning and Ongoing Success

Our alumni community includes graduates enrolled in higher education as well as those thriving in careers across a wide range of fields. Others have returned to work and grow at LION or enrolled their children in our school to rejoin the LION family as parents. No matter the path they choose, LION stands beside its graduates as a lifelong partner.

College Access & Success Programs

Educating, supporting, and empowering students to and through college

LION supports alumni through the critical transition from high school to college with dedicated success coaching and ongoing access to guidance well beyond graduation.

For the first two years after high school, every alum is paired with an Alumni Success Coach who provides individualized support, and alumni are always welcome to return to LION for additional assistance at any point in their journey.

  • Dedicated Alumni Success Coach for the first two years following high school graduation
  • One‑on‑one support navigating the transition from high school to college life
  • Assistance with academic planning, persistence strategies, and problem‑solving challenges
  • Continued access to coaching and support beyond the initial two‑year period
  • Referrals and resources related to social‑emotional wellbeing and personal development

The LION College Success Team remains actively engaged with alumni through intentional outreach, workshops, and events designed to support key transitions and long‑term success.

These opportunities ensure alumni stay informed, connected, and supported as their goals and pathways evolve.

  • Targeted outreach to alumni during critical academic and life transitions
  • Workshops focused on financial aid advisement and college persistence
  • Exploratory sessions on graduate and professional degree options
  • Career advisement and professional development programming
  • Opportunities to reconnect with peers, mentors, and the broader LION community

Each semester, LION offers alumni the opportunity to apply for micro‑grants through the College Persistence Fund, designed to remove financial barriers that can derail post‑secondary progress.

Grants help alumni begin, continue, or complete their educational pursuits so they can remain focused on achieving their goals.

  • Tuition support to cover gaps in financial aid
  • Transportation to and from college or work‑study opportunities
  • Funding for books, calculators, and essential academic materials
  • Support for travel related to study abroad or other educational opportunities
