Keveney McCrillis

Director of Communications and Strategic Projects

Keveney McCrillis joined Leaders In Our Neighborhood Charter School in August 2014 as a high school English teacher and Librarian. At LION, she has worked as a College Counselor, Mentor Teacher, Executive Assistant to the Senior Leadership Team, and now the Director of Communications and Special Projects. Keveney began her career in education in 2007 through the New York City Teaching Fellows program as a middle school English Language Arts teacher. Before joining LION, she taught at a NYC DOE public high school, a vocational school in Maine, and St. HOPE Leadership Academy Charter School in New York. She earned her permanent 7-12 English and Special Education teaching certificates, directed a summer program, started several after-school clubs centered around poetry, and mentored new teachers through the New York City Teaching Fellows. 

Keveney McCrillis is a leader with a diverse skill set who never stops learning. Her education journey has taken her to Manhattanville University for undergraduate studies, then to The City College of New York and The College of Saint Rose for graduate studies. Keveney believes in LION’s mission and is committed to the Hunts Point community.
